Ex-Specialized Gravity rider, Loris Vergier, is headed for the Santa Cruz Syndicate for 2017!
Loris Vergier announced in 2016 that he would leave Specialized, the news came as a shock to the mountain biking and downhill world as the young rider had only been signed for the Specialized Gravity team for one season.
Since the announcement was made rumours have spread across the mountain biking community suggesting various different teams he might be moving too, but it finally looks like we have the answer! The Santa Cruz Syndicate!
Loris Vergier nor Santa Cruz have made an official announcement about the signing yet, however French website Velo Vert did run the headline “Loris Vergier Signs With Santa Cruz” a few days ago with the accompanying photos showing Vergier with a silver, team spec V10.
It does look like Velo Vert jumped the gun with the announcement though and the site has since changed their headline and removed the V10 pics, but not before we managed to grab a copy. You can see the original post here (which still mentions the original headline in the URL).
Loris Vergier is expected to take Josh “Ratboy” Brycelands places on the Syndicate, as Bryceland has made the decision not to race WC races in 2017 and will still concentrate on festivals, making videos and perhaps a spot of enduro.
